Fry Cook on Venus Podcast: Swings or Slide

In the conclusion of my conversation with Efe (AddictedToTheTheatre.blogspot.ca) we discuss parks, fitness, men who have no chill (as the kids say), being old, social media and city life. Did she almost fall out of a roller coaster once? Did she almost die in Montreal? Where are all the subway performers that you always hear so much about? What is the best way to handle a crazy person late at night? Answers to these questions and more make up this episode. As always, leave a comment to let us know what you think.

Fry Cook on Venus Podcast: Feed The Dragon

On this edition of the #FCoV podcast, I talk to my friend Efe (of AddictedToTheTheater.blogspot.ca) for the first time in more than a year. In this first of two episodes with her, we discuss how to pronounce Lagos, Captain America: Civil War, Daredevil, Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Game of Thrones, Scandal & Vikings. Did I mention GoT already? There’s a lot about that show in this one. If you’re a fan, we’d love to hear your take on our conversation in the comments.

Fry Cook on Venus Podcast: Toe of the Hobo

On this episode of the #FryCookOnVenus podcast, I get to know Haoming, Gaurav, Varun, CV & Steven better by playing a game of 'Would You Rather' via Either.io. Check out the show on PodOmatic or iTunes and let us know in the comments what choices you would make. The questions we answered were:
  • Be attractive but get punched in the face every day or be ugly?
  • Be heroes or villains?
  • Have no eyebrows or a unibrow?
  • Be able to meow & have 9 lives or speak normally & live once?
  • Eat only humans or starve to death?
  • Be electrocuted when you swear or have all profanities censored on TV?
  • Hug a panda or a polar bear?
  • Swap genders every year or have to move & start fresh every year?
  • See what created civilization or see what ends it?
  • Suck a hobo’s toe for 2 minutes or be in a cage with a honey badger & a lion for 20 seconds?

Fry Cook on Venus Podcast: The Die

"OMG I literally almost died" is how I'd like to tee up this episode of #FCoV but that's said so much you probably wouldn't believe me. So maybe I should talk about my drastic weight loss, dehydration, heart rate of 215 or how my body went into shock. I could mention the joys of multiple blood transfusions, being fed through tubes or not being able to walk without permission or an IV pole. However I don't know what you're into nor am I here to judge. Just know that I was sick & there's a podcast about it. Give it a play, shower me with pity/love, leave a comment & like the page.

Fry Cook on Venus Podcast: Laws of Diffusion

This might be the funniest episode of the #FCoV podcast. Today on the show Yinka & Steven return with Haoming in the mix too. Things you'll hear about on this episode include: Poop, pee, Queen Bey, zoos, male strippers, Rob Ford, Jehovah's Witnesses & more. This will either make you laugh out loud or shake your head. Maybe both. Give it listen, leave a comment & tell a friend to tell a friend.

Fry Cook on Venus Podcast: Truest Romantics

This edition of #FCoV is actually a prequel. It's the first half of the conversation I had with @LiterallySteve, of "Neutral Zero" fame. Since I didn't do much of a job of explaining who he is until half way into our chat, I figured you might need to hear the second part first. This time around we discuss growing up, the importance of sports fan-dom & the role culture has had on us both. Aka: Puberty, the misery that is supporting teams from Toronto & foreign people. Which ever you're into. I also explain the joys that were idea city 2014 & NXNE. So listen, leave a comment & hit those LIKE & SHARE buttons.

Fry Cook on Venus Podcast: Neutral Zero

Today on #FCoV, my cousin who's not really my cousin but is totally family even though we're not related is on the program. Yes, @LiterallySteve finally makes an appearance on the show & if you've ever talked with he & I, the conversation is about as random as you'd expect. We talk about his life as an epidemiologist, vintage PlayStation games & selling out in this first of two episodes. I also tee up World Cup 2014 in the intro. Give it a listen, leave a World Cup prediction in the comments & hit Like to support the show. Available in iTunes, Blackberry Podcasts, Windows Phone Podcasts & PodOmatic.

Fry Cook on Venus Podcast: Don't Be Racist

On this episode of Fry Cook On Venus, we go back in time. Remember March? Snow, darkness & wind cold enough to cause frost-quakes; which I'm still shocked are actually a thing. Months ago I found myself playing Monopoly with a few friends at  my recording studio on the lake & realised I was in the midst of a conversation that was surely podcast worthy. Topics include: Ice skating, emotional lesbians, chicken & drug smuggling. You know, normal stuff. So listen in as the homies & I take you on a journey to absolutely nowhere. Available in iTunes, Blackberry Podcasts, Windows Phone Podcasts & PodOmatic.

Fry Cook on Venus Podcast: Ebony Friday

Did you think the #FCoV podcast was going to make it to number 23 on the iTunes Personal Journals chart & not release a new episode? Hopefully not because Christian & Anthony came through for a recording session a few days ago to in an effort to help grow the show even more. We talked about video-games, Black Friday shopping & work stories. Anthony may have also revealed his secret identity in this episode. Check it out & tell us what you think.

Fry Cook on Venus Podcast: Some Type of Way

The somewhat epic conclusion of the Klosterman questions. This week, we deal with topics like religion, relationships & cannibalism. Enjoy.

FCoV Podcast: Opinionated Opinions

This week on the show, yours truly flies solo in an attempt to tackle a new set of questions from author/writer/legend Chuck Klosterman. I'm not sure if this one was as fun for me as my previous encounters with the works of Mr. Klosterman but if you're interested in getting a better perspective of me, here's one for you, stalkers. Feel free to answer along with me in the comments section & have some fun with me.

FCoV Podcast: Squirtle Was A Pimp

This week on the show one of my friends from work, steps up to the mic. Christian & I got together to talk about our friends at work, Pokemon & cookies as we sat down for drinks. The beverages were good & the conversation was fun. However that's just my opinion. You get to make that call for yourself in the comments section after you give the latest episode of the #FCoV podcast a listen.

FCoV Podcast: You Die Anyways

How's that for a dreary title? This week on the podcast my conversation with Peter/kikflip concludes & it gets deep. Life, death, dreams, relationships, etc. However, if you're more into two guys talking about music, travel & at least one story involving drugs, we've got that covered too. Be sure to check out the previous episode & tell us what you think of this one.

Fry Cook on Venus Podcast: Toronto Characters

It's the return! After a spring/summer hiatus the #FCoV podcast has come back with the longest episode to date. This week Peter, aka Kikflip, comes onto the program to discuss a little bit of everything. It starts with headphones & ends with bootleg jackets but in between we hit topics like Toronto, music & politics. This was actually the first time we had met & it's great to know that another of the people I became friends with over the Internet is cool in real life. So listen to my conversation with this rapper/songwriter & let us know what you think.

Fry Cook on Venus Podcast: Hug Me Maybe

Depression is a bummer. While I've never been clinically diagnosed, I've gone through my fair share of bad moods during my time in this life. The last month has felt like the most recent one of them. Disappointment, confusion, anger, it was all there. Here is a look back at the month that was & hopefully the future brings a little positivity to us all.

Fry Cook on Venus Podcast: Elevator Stare

And so concludes the trilogy! My conversation with Natalia wraps up this week on the #FCoV podcast. Since we left off, our babbling has lead us to the topic of relationships. She talks about online dating & provides listeners with a few tips that they might find useful. I toss a few stories from the past in there too. Yippie! I'd like to thank to her for being an open guest & remind you all again to support her Live Below The Line campaign if you can either by donating or sharing the link.

Fry Cook on Venus Podcast: Slim Jean Fiasco

This week on #FCoV, Natalia & I discuss some of the do's & do not's of fashion. Because if there's one topic that I'm sure to be an authority on, it's fashion. We've got advice for both men & women so if you're looking for tips or just hoping to hear two people call other people annoying, this is the episode for you.

Fry Cook on Venus Podcast: Gotta Eat

The world feels like a much more enjoyable place when the Blue Jays win I get a guest on the FCoV podcast. This week, Natalia made it over to my neck of the woods & sat down for a conversation that I had been anticipating for weeks. As one of the most vocal supporters of the podcast, it was only a matter of time before we recorded together &, well folks, here it is. We discussed why I dropped out of a certain university program, the French language, Cuba & her attempt to change the world. Take a listen & enjoy.

Fry Cook on Venus Podcast: Wickmazing

The plan for this episode of the FCoV podcast was to get together with a good friend of mine to catch up for the first time in months. However, there was a funeral. Which my parents actually attended. Who knew all Guyanese people knew each other. Anyways, even if I could have gotten her to sit down and record, it would have probably been depressing. So you all get to hear about my week. Aka, feel free to skip this one.
