11:11 Wishes

A few weeks ago, I got into a debate with a friend of mine regarding the validity of "11:11 wishes". For those of you not in the know, it's become fairly popular to make wishes at specifically 11:11 (AM or PM). If you're on Twitter, you're probably following at least one person who tweets about. The question is: Is there a point to all this wishing?

According to my favourite source, 11:11 is a big deal in numerology. However it makes no mention of wishes coming true because they were made at this time. Luckily, there is an alternate ideology associated with 11:11. I've heard that noticing this time means that someone, somewhere, is thinking about you. If you've been following this blog or my tweets, then you already know how much I'd appreciate it if that were true. I mean, I already notice 11:11, 12:21 & 1:11. Shoot, if you tell me the girl of my dreams will be thinking about me at ANY time, I'm more than willing to park myself in front of a clock to make it happen!

According to numerologists though, there's a twist. When you notice 11:11, this is allegedly a jumbie spirit letting you know that you are not alone. Totally not creepy! This makes we wonder: Whose spirit are we talking about? I can think of a few good folks who've broken on through to the other side, so I'll assume it's one of them & not some super-natural stalker. Maybe the spirit with you at 11:11 is that same someone who is thinking about you. (Please x8802) Who can be sure, right?

Regardless of how you see 11:11, I say that it can't hurt to wish. If you have someone something that you want in your life, feel free to ask the universe for the opportunity to make them smile it. Never rely on wishing though; hard work is what pays off. Next time you find yourself face-to-face with 11:11, don't stress out. Wish if you want to. Think of someone special if you want to. Heck, walk away if that's what floats your boat. Just remember to smile; because making sure you've got one of those will always be more important than what time it is.
